HKU Liang Shan RTI 2012 Charity Bike Ride for Refugee

The Liang Shan RTI 2012 at HKU was held on 21 April by 60 hostel students from 2/F of St. John’s College. They rode their bikes, starting their round- island trip for fundraising at 12.00 midnight and completed the 38 km, raising HK$ 68,000 to benefit the Christian Action Chungking Mansions Service Centre.

Mr. Evans Lam, The President of “Liang Shan RTI 2012” fundraising event, said that he watched a TV programme related to ethnic minorities and refugees. He understands their needs and difficulties from the programme and would therefore, like to help them through this fundraising event.

They also visited the Christian Action Chungking Mansions Service Centre on 13 June and shared their experience with the refugees.

hen Mr. Ng Wing Fong arrived in Hong Kong from mainland China 10 years ago, he had a tough time integrating with his new community. Since overcoming those obstacles, he reaches out to families facing the same situation he did back then, through the En Ze Foundation.
