On November 24 to 25, 2012, Christian Action took part in collaborating with International Christian Assemblies (ICA) in its flagship event of the year – “1 People 1 City” – a multi-cultural festival to celebrate diversity among all skin colours and from all walks of life.

“1 People 1 City”, “1P1C” in short, is in its second year running, and moved from a small school playground in North Point to Wanchai’s Southorn Playground. The bigger venue brought about nearly 20,000 attendances in two days.

Secretary for Home Affairs Mr Tsang Tak-sing was among the guests of honour for the opening ceremony of the event. Highlights included an international food fair, bazaar, live performances, game booths and raffle draw – a combination of activities for all ages to enjoy!

The two days was blemished with occasional showers, but it didn’t deter people from contributing generously, tallying over HK$ 1 million in total. All proceeds go to improving the “Agape Community Intervention” support network in Tin Shui Wai, helping this vulnerable community with the resources needed to realize a true neighbourhood with positive relationships.
