Around 1,500 people flocked to the Open-Air Music Festival at “The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club” on Saturday October 19th,2013, for an evening of great entertainment. The lineup included Grace Wong, Corinna Chamberlain, Hiromi, Karene Mak, Wong Cho-Lam, Peco Cui, Chan Hong-kin and Kevin Kaho Tsui, as well as rock bands ToNick, KillerSoap, MATCHBOX, and Blaster. During her performance Ivana Wong, the event ambassador, spoke about under-privileged children and teens, the main reason for the festival. A special performance by the world famous Ugandan Children’s Choir, Watoto, who are living proof of what previously disadvantaged children can achieve given the opportunity, was a great hit. The event raised over HK$300,000 to finance the “Child Development Fund” project, which teaches goal setting, and instills the habit of saving in the participants.

For two years running, The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club have hosted Christian Action’s Three-legged Charity Walk to raise money for orphans and abandoned children in Qinghai. Mrs. CHEUNG-ANG Siew Mei, JP, our Executive Director expressed her appreciation to Dr. Jack W K Wong, Chairman of the Membership Committee of the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club for ongoing support, serving the needy in the community.
