We are thankful for a donation of 200 mooncakes which we can distribute to the families at our New Arrival Service Mong Kok Centre during Mid Autumn Festival. Pray that they are blessed during this special time together.

Pray that CA will recruit a ministry team coordinator who has the desire to serve marginalized people. He/she will maintain good relationships between CA and churches in Hong Kong, promote cooperation between believers to serve marginalized people, and to follow the example of Jesus Christ.   4

Praise God that CAUK has been granted an opportunity to meet and share our vision with many people at the Gorsley Flower Festival and Christian Conference. Pray that more and more people will be moved to support our ministry in Qinghai.

Give thanks for all the teams of visitors and volunteers who travelled to Qinghai over the summer to spend time with our children and helping to care for them.

Christian Action’s (CA) Social Enterprise Division has started collecting mooncake/biscuit tins in a recycling initiative by cooperating with estate management companies. Please pray for the success of this campaign as it promotes environmental protection, and raises funds to support our outreach to the poor.

Please pray for the domestic helpers living in our shelters while waiting for their cases to be heard at the Labour Tribunal. Pray for God’s protection, and that they will get a fair hearing, receive justice that they so deserve.   8

Thank God for generous sponsors who have enabled us to offer an Art Therapy programme to clients from our Chungking Mansion Service Centre. Those who participated in a photography course donated their art for sale to raise money which partially refinanced a more comprehensive self development programme. Amen!

Please pray that the new Head of Humanitarian Services, China programme will adapt to his new environment in Qinghai quickly and promote the efficiency of CA’s operations there, glorifying the name of Christ in the process.   16

Praise God that the 2nd batch of Child Development Fund students have started utilizing their savings. Pray that they realize the dreams they have developed since joining the programme, and accept God’s love through what they have learnt from their Christian mentors.

Pray that CAUK’s Christmas advertising campaign is successful and more people will register to receive Siew Mei’s weekly blog, which has been a bridge between the ones who want to help & those needy.   20

We have launched our Charity Cookie Campaign! Please pray for successful sales through all our channels, and that the campaign will draw publicity for CA and raise sufficient funds to serve the orphans on the Tibetan Plateau.   22

Some children from the  New Arrival Service Mong Kok Centre  will participate in cookery and bakery classes this month. Pray that these activities will enhance their increasing levels of inclusion to Hong Kong society.

Staff from the Ethnic Minorities Integrated Service centres will undergo training in offering quality frontline service to their clients. Pray that they will be able to serve our Ethnic Minority friends better as a result.   24

We will  need the support of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department to organize the second annual cross cultural event – ‘1 People 1 City’ (with International Christian Assembly) on November 24th and 25th. Please pray for clear lines of communication and smooth execution regarding venue coordination, logistics and licence applications.
