Thank God for the marvelous weather and a high level of public engagement for our 2nd Three-Legged Walkathon in April.  We raised over HK$500,000! Pray that all 850 participants enjoyed the walk and will continue to support our Friends of Qinghai Children Programme. Amen!

Glory to God!  Our humanitarian services China team has recently secured much needed funding for their education scholarships.  Please pray that these children at a social and economic disadvantage on the Tibetan Plateau are able to get an education and break out of the cycle of poverty.

Our green collection programme has secured additional collection points with a local bank. Pray that the social enterprise division will receive good used items for resale in our charity outlets, which finances our ministry work for the marginalized in Hong Kong.

CA has successfully renewed our labour insurance policy which has been enhanced for better protection of our staff.  Praise God!

Pray for more Christian workers to support unfortunate domestic workers, many of whom are Muslims.  Pray also for more like-minded supporters to join our ministry to honour HIM.

Please keep on praying for Christian Action UK, that God will raise a volunteer to help them handle the important work of Trust and Foundation funding applications. 10

Christian Action’s Integrated Employment Assistance Scheme and our Social Enterprise Division will collaborate in order to provide their students with working experience. May their efforts be pleasing to the Lord!

CA’s Training Services Division will host a vocational training service carnival today.  Pray that the event will benefit the job seekers so they are better equipped for the job market.

Happy Mother’s Day!  The domestic migrant workers living in our shelters while waiting for their cases to be heard at the Labour Tribunal succumb easily to anxiety and despair.  Let’s pray for them to experience God’s nurturing on this day, especially for those who are mothers whose families are far away.

Please pray for the mercy and sensitivity to the authority when it considers how to process refugee or asylum seeker claims in Hong Kong as mandated by the Court of Final Appeal. 14

Our Ministry Coordination Team is launching the new Agape Community project partnering with various churches in Tin Shui Wai today. Pray that the participants will enjoy the event and experience a deepening sense of community. 16

Several ethnic minority adults will take the IGCSE examination in the Use of Chinese over the next two days.  Pray that they will achieve the results they have worked so hard for.

Thank God for the SAR Philharmonic Orchestra who organized the “Love Unlimited” Charity Concert to increase levels of public awareness regarding the services rendered by Christian Action.  Pray that this will motivate people to love one another and follow Jesus’ example to help the poor.

We will be organizing an outdoor concert in Clearwater Bay in October. Pray that the event will draw supporters for the grassroot community in Kwun Tong and East Kowloon area, that more public participation and awareness will be aroused to help the poor. 24

Our Training Services Division is preparing for the Trade Advisory Committee Meeting in June. Pray for stronger collaboration between CA and the trades/industries; so as to empower job seekers.

Thank God! A corporate sponsor is paying for 23 undergraduates to work as summer interns in Huangnan Children’s Home in Qinghai. Pray that they are all blessed by our work, and are moved to support us in the future.
