Today staff from our domestic migrant workers programme will meet partner churches to garner more support for their ministry. Pray that the meeting today will strengthen our partnerships so we can spread God’s love to women working far from their home countries.

Our Social Enterprise Division will be selling used books at the ‘SHARE TO LOVE Charity Book Drive’ this weekend. Pray that the public’s interest will be aroused and motivated to donate their high-quality used items (including books) to us for resale to support our ministry in Hong Kong.

Give thanks to God! This year there is an increase in adoptions from our children’s homes in Qinghai. Please pray that more children will find their forever families, especially those with special needs.

Our ‘Mongkok Training Centre’, is launching a new incentive and credit scheme to encourage their students to register as members of their centre, and increase the amount of training they receive. Pray that the public will improve their skills and find better jobs.

Our Integrated Employment Assistance Programme recently hosted ‘My Step’ a self-improvement course for youngsters in Kwun Tong, building self-confidence, a sense of responsibility and the faith to pursue a God-pleasing path.

The current training programme for migrant workers (domestic helpers) draws to a close today. Thank God for providing adequate resources to complete it. Pray that the next round is even more successful, as we empower these women.

Please pray for the parents of ethnic minority children as they search for workable solutions to their children’s difficulties studying Chinese language in school. Without these qualifications their children will battle to secure a place in a Hong Kong university.

There will be a ceremony to present the education grants to poor students in Qinghai today. Give thanks for the donors who have supported underprivileged students on the Tibetan Plateau.

Church partners of our Ministry Coordination Team will share the gospel with the youth in their programmes today. Pray that the youngster’s vision for the future will expand as they begin to understand God’s plans for them to prosper and succeed in their chosen career.

Praise God! The Trade Advisory Committee meetings hosted by our Training Services Division at the end of June were successful. Please pray for continuing good communications as we work out how to meet the training needs of the public, so they can be equipped for the workplace.

Qun, the little girl from Xining Children’s Home who came to Hong Kong for surgery earlier this year, will return for a second round in August. In the interim, please pray that her condition stabilises.

We will be running an outdoor concert in Clearwater Bay on October 19. Please pray that our preparations leading up to the event are smooth, and that it will raise funds for our ministry in Kwun Tong and East Kowloon.

May God bless our Mongkok New Arrival Service Centre’s summer programme. Pray that they have enough manpower and materials to meet their needs, and for God’s strength, provision and protection.

There will be a trip to Qinghai in August to photograph and film our projects. Pray that we find inspiring stories to clearly communicate the impact we are having on communities there.
