Our Social Enterprise Division’s Green Connect has been in use since mid-February.  Pray that we strive to play an active part in preserving our beloved God’s creations through the Green Collection Programme.

Today 15 welfare families from the Sau Mau Ping Integrated Employment Assistance Service Centre will participate in the Safer Internet Day 2019 - PaMa Café: My Kids x Internet hosted by the HK Council of Social Service.  Pray that all of them will learn some safe and pragmatic parenting skills so that they enjoy the precious family time together in this e-Generation era.

After providing free repacking service, a courier company is going to deliver some rehabilitation equipment like bath chair and sensory integral training sets to Qinghai this week.  Pray that the items will arrive on time to furnish our new Xining Children’s Home.

Seven shelter clients under the Migrant Domestic Workers Programme are still facing on-going lawsuits.  Pray for His mercy, comfort and justice for these women in their challenging times; and may the cases be resolved very soon.

Our Sheung Shui Centre has organized regular board game classes since February for the young clients on welfare benefits. Pray that this helps enhance their skills in problem solving, communication and right life values so they can be more dignified and confident.

Mrs. Cheung-Ang Siew Mei, our Executive Director, will deliver a lecture themed “Service Leadership in Action (Health Services)” at the Hong Kong Baptist University today.  Pray that her sharing will inspire our younger generation to serve God and embrace the work that we do.

In collaboration with an NGO, our Migrant Domestic Workers Programme team ran a workshop on “Sexual Violence and Vulnerability of Migrant Workers” last Wednesday and will run one more workshop on 13th March at the To Kwa Wan Centre.  Pray that more people will come together to protect the marginalized sojourners working far away from their hometowns for a living.  Amen!

Our Ministry Coordination Team Sau Mau Ping Centre will recruit about 10 talented mentees from our current batch of the Child Development Fund Mentorship Progamme to its music group.  Pray that the beneficiaries will be fully enriched in the related training either vocal or musical instruments; and their confidence will be raised to understand how precious they are in the eyes of Our Lord.

Hoorah!  This Saturday sees several clients from the New Arrivals Mong Kok Service Centre host a DIY booth to show how to make shower gel at our event to farewell New Horizons Building (NHB). Pray that more clients will feel the power of giving through selfless service.

Our Training Services Division will host a recruitment day for East Kowloon this Friday at Domain Mall, Yau Tong.  Pray that more residents in the district would be better equipped to pursue their dreams through our service.

In conjunction with other organizations, we will conduct a recruitment day in Sheung Shui today.  Pray that we continue to motivate the clients on welfare to re-enter the job market with job skills and self-confidence.  Amen!

To bid farewell to our present headquarters for over 3 decades, we will host a “Farewell to New Horizons Building” today.  We will rejoice with our beloved neighbours and connect them to our new Choi Wan Centre via games and activities.  May Christian Action “be the light of the world. 10 children from our New Arrivals Mong Kok Service Centre were sponsored by a partner church to enjoy an activity of making pizzas in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday.  Pray that more people would join us to deliver love and care to the deprived families.

Tomorrow our Training Services Division will start a 7-month-long initiative - New Women in Action《新婦女.齊起動》 until September. The programme funded by the Women’s Commission aims to empower women from grassroots families in Kowloon East.  Pray that the clients will be enriched to live a fulfilling life through this all-round training package.

Our Social Enterprise Division will launch a series of “Green Collection Drives” at 17 public housing estates in Kowloon East this March.  Pray that we strive to collaborate with more corporations or organizations to conserve a greener and cleaner territory in Hong Kong.

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The Ethnic Minorities Integrated Services Woosung Street Centre will set up a booth at VTC’s International Day to promote multi-cultural understanding via games and other activities in a local tertiary institute. Pray that we strive to create a cohesive community for our next generation.

Today sees our 7th 3-Legged Charity Walk at the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club!  Pray for perfect weather and that there will be an enthusiastic response for the event resulting in abundant funds needed to support our work to help the disadvantaged children in Hong Kong and Qinghai.  Every cent counts.

The Ethnic Minorities Integrated Services Tuen Mun SHINE Centre will co-organize a social inclusion activity in a partner school in Wong Tai Sin at lunchtime today.  Some centre clients will volunteer to man 3 booths featuring exhibitions, henna hand drawing, traditional costume dressing and South Asian music. Pray that we strive to connect with different stakeholders to foster social harmony and cultural understanding.

Our Red Packet for Every Home campaign entailing Paper House Workshop and others is in full swing. Until now, 15 local schools have joined us to bless the less fortunate and needy community in Hong Kong and Qinghai.  Pray that more people will be inspired to give to others far and near.
