Today, CATS-Alumni Club will organise a workshop on proper social etiquette for the trainees who have completed our training programmes. Pray that we continue to better equip our clients with our market-oriented programmes.

Today, 25 children from deprived families from the New Arrivals Mong Kok Service Centre will be sponsored by Hong Kong Tourism Board to enjoy a DIY activity: making a mosquito repellent and a pizza lunch. May they feel loved and cherished through our activities.

May God’s inspiration and strength be with our Tuen Mun SHINE Centre team as they strategise new programmes for the ethnic minorities, particularly the new arrivals in Hong Kong. Pray that they would reach out to more clients in need and help foster social cohesion.

We are finishing the Story Book named “When Will meets Douge”, our new fundraiser, to be released in August. Pray that our plan will come to fruition and will be widespread in HK.

Pray that many people will be moved by Jeffrey Andrews’ story, our social worker, whose family was nominated for the Best Family 2019. Mrs. Cheung-Ang Siew Mei, our Executive Director, will also attend the award presentation ceremony today.

Our Sau Mau Ping Service Centre will soon be relocated to On Tai Centre this week. Pray for the smooth and safe dismantle work, and a seamless transition to the new centre. May it thrive to be God’s blessings to the neighhourhood.

In collaboration with a local church in Yuen Long, our Ministry Coordination Team Long Ping Centre will conduct netball training this week for about 20 mentees under the 7th-phase Child Development Fund Mentorship Programme.  Pray that they will be coached to seek God and choose to walk on a God-pleasing path.

Our Integrated Employment Assistance On Tai Service Centre is designing the after-school childcare service to address the pressing needs of the new community. Pray for His provision in this initiative that helps women residents enter the job market. Amen!

This evening, a group of ethnic minorities youth from Ethnic Minorities Integrated Services Woosung Street Centre will have their evening camp at Sai Kung. Pray that they encounter God in nature, especially after their recent summer camp where they learnt personally about Jesus in deeper context.

The Sheung Shui Service Centre has started an after-school care service for 7 children clients in this summer. Pray that the initiative will strive to lessen the burden of parents from grassroots families of taking care of their children after the long summer vacation.

Our Centre for Refugees has been appealing for refugee children’s education funding for the upcoming academic year. Pray for His provision of accessible educational and recreational opportunities for this marginalised sector.

Grateful for the Malaysian volunteer stationed in Qinghai programme for half a year since mid-July. Pray that she will personally integrate well and be blest by her sacrifice to glorify God’s name.

Praise God for the generous donor who offered free repainting to our Ethnic Minorities Integrated Services Woosung Street Centre that was completed in mid-July. It created an improved environment in this centre for our ethnic minorities clients.

Our Training Services Division has organised different promotional activities throughout the city. Pray that they offer guidance for the unemployed/underemployed in the districts to secure their desirable jobs, meet their needs and bless their families.

Our China programme team will have a 1-day retreat today for about 20 staff in Xining. Pray that this helps promote team spirit and mutual understanding. May they all be uplifted and empowered to spread warmth and hope to the poor and handicapped in Qinghai.

Our Centre For Refugees Team is fully geared up to implement the summer activities for various age groups and several camping trips for the youth, which are sponsored by different parties this summer. Pray that the children will treasure the precious opportunities and feel the community’s love and care through our endeavours.

A crew of 26 youths from Mission 21’s Swiss summer school programme will visit our Migrant Domestic Workers Programme. Pray that we will raise more public awareness and care towards these ladies who have to work far away from their hometowns to support their families. Amen!

This afternoon, the Eastern District Committee of Wong Tai Sin Home Affairs Department (the district Christian Action belongs to) will visit our new Choi Wan Centre. Pray that we will get their support for new cooperation and launch more needs-oriented services for our beloved neighbourhood.

Hooray! Our Ethnic Minorities Integrated Services team is sponsored to run a 10-session Chinese learning class for 8 clients under Chinese Learning Enhancement Programme this month. Pray that we will help promote greater community integration and harmony.

Our Social Enterprise Division will launch several “Green Collection Charity Drive” in different private housing estates and a private club in Kowloon this month. Pray that our goodwill will spread wider throughout the city and more people will support our Green Collection Programme.

Our Sheung Shui Service Centre is promoting the launch of the Community Networking Employment Service. Pray that it will develop into a community-based platform that renders the welfare recipients to earn money by offering services to the community; resulting in a win-win situation for all parties.

Praise God for the rise in viewers on Christian Action Asia’s (USA) Facebook since the launch of its publicity campaign. Pray that more friends will get connected through this virtual platform; and they will achieve the target of 5,000 very soon.

We are selecting the products for the charity sale and planning the Season of Love 2019/20. Pray for His inspiration, connection and the protection in wide-spreading the circulation channels over the city as it is one of our most important campaigns of the year.

Most schools in Hong Kong and Qinghai will start next Monday.  Pray that the students are refreshed by different summer activities and youth programmes that all of them will welcome their new school terms with vigor and joy.

Starting next Monday, we will launch a free daily meal programme financed by the Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged at our new headquarters at Choi Wan Centre for 100 deprived families within the vicinity. Pray that we strive to deliver love and care for those who are in need.
