This morning sees the Destiny Talks2 in Malaysia where Mrs. Cheung-Ang Siew Mei, our Executive Director, will share her perseverance to serve the abandoned and disadvantaged children in Qinghai, led by God. Pray that her story will impact more lives to respond warmly to His call to serve with faith and love.

Answered prayer
Praise God! One of our shelter clients of the Migrant Domestic Workers Programme, who was formerly accused of theft, was acquitted upon the court hearing last month.  Pray that those distressed will personally feel loved and cherished through the difficult times.

This month, our IT department is installing an electronic ticket queueing system at the course admission counter and Interactive kiosks on the 1st to 4th floors, for enlisting on the current training programmes. Pray that all these improved facilities will better equip the people to realize their dreams through self-enrichment.

On Tai Integrated Employment Assistance Service (IEAPS) Centre has established a mutual women’s support group for the clients on welfare benefits. It will meet regularly from today to 10 December to help women acquire skills through art to improve inter-personal communication, stress management, conflict resolution and self-exploration.  Pray that they will be uplifted to live life to the fullest.

Due to the current social unrest, some of our activities formerly scheduled in the evenings or weekends for the youth in Yuen Long under CDF mentorship programme were cancelled. Pray that the young generation would seek God for His inspiration, direction and protection; and cast their anxiety on Him for He cares.

Our Sheung Shui Service Centre has started recruiting clients on welfare benefits to contribute themselves to the Community Networking Employment Service. Pray that it will develop into an effective community-based platform that renders a win-win scenario as the clients get jobs by reciprocally offering need-oriented services to the community.

HK Churches Mission Conference 2019 themed “the Act of Foot-Washing : Whom Should I Wash?” will be launched today and tomorrow by HK Christian Council (HKCC) in which Mrs. Cheung-Ang Siew Mei our Executive Director serves as a member of the HKCC Executive Committee. Pray that all Christian churches would be united as one Body to uphold His mission and vision. Amen!

Our Social Enterprise Division will co-organize an upcycling programme in Green Connect with YMCA today. Pray that we strive to impart the message of 3Rs to the general public: Reuse, Recycle and Reduce to preserve God’s creations.

Today about 300 clients from the Ethnic Minorities Integrated Services Woosung Street Centre will visit a theme park fully sponsored by the Home Affairs Department. Pray that all participants will cherish this precious opportunity and family time together as they can hardly afford such an outing on their meager income.

This week our Social Services (Hong Kong) Division will organize a poverty experiential event for about 20 students from international schools on the Sower’s Exchange Programme. Pray that the young generation will personally feel the plight of the deprived and repay the community with love in action in future.

May God continue to shower His abundant blessings when CA is unfolding a new chapter at the new headquarters in Choi Wan Estate.  Pray that we strive to be salt and light to our beloved community year after year.  Amen!

Our Season of Love Charity Drive 2019, furnished with its on-line sale platform, will kick off this month. Pray for His blessings for another successful year to sustain our ministry for vulnerable children in Hong Kong and Qinghai.

Our Training Services Division will host the 2019 annual corporate luncheon today. Pray that we strive to offer updated training and retraining programmes for our corporate partners and valuable vocational training to better equip job seekers as well.

Our Tuen Mun SHINE Centre is launching a 4-session training programme on football for about 10 ethnic minority youth this November. The classes will be conducted by a certified AFC coach who will impart the basic skills of this game. Pray that they find out how special they are in the eyes of our Lord.

Winter is coming!
Our Centre for Refugees has carried out a winter clothes drive since mid-October with different drop-off locations. Pray that the initiative will raise public awareness to donate warm clothes and other useful items to refugees and asylum seekers stranded in Hong Kong.

48 impoverished families including those on welfare benefits and new arrivals from the On Tai IEAPS Centre will be sponsored to enjoy a nature walk on Hong Kong Island. Pray that all participants will be empowered to live out their blissful lives that our Lord has destined for them.

Our China programme team will execute the second batch of bidding process to purchase million dollars’ worth of rehabilitation equipment to be donated through CA to the new Xining children’s home this month. Pray for the smooth implementation; and that together we improve the well-being of the children with disabilities on the Tibetan Plateau.

The Social Enterprise Division will conduct a fun day for about 30 kids today. Pray that they will enjoy the upcycling activity and eventually learn to treasure God’s creation in their everyday lives. Amen!

Today about 240 seniors from the underprivileged families in our district will be treated to the Basin Feast (Poon Choi) which is sponsored by a private clubhouse. Pray that they will experience a deepening sense of community and God’s love as they participate.

In this month, our Training Services Division has organized several activities promoting our Employees Retraining Board’s training programmes in different fields across the city.  Pray that the attendants will understand how important it is to improve themselves in realizing their dreams for a better life.

The Ministry Coordination Team will conduct 2 classes on financial management for the student mentees of the 7th-batch Child Development Fund Mentorship Programme today and next weekend. Pray that they will eventually understand that God’s Word is the best manual for life.  Amen!
