Let’s pray for one of our clients residing in our shelter, under the Migrant Domestic Workers Programme, who will receive a third-round of chemotherapy for breast cancer today. Pray for God’s comfort, strength and presence to be with her during this challenging time. Amen!

Our On Tai Service Centre is strategizing different services for the On Tai Estate residents that transcend differences in age, race and generations. Last month, it started to offer tutorial classes for 30 youth in the vicinity. This month, it will continue to conduct interest classes particularly for seniors and ethnic minorities. Pray that we strive to serve as a light to the neighbourhood.

Many thanks!  Christian Action Asia (USA) has received some positive response towards its previous fall 2019 mailing campaign appealing for support  to the Children of the Qinghai programme. Pray that this network of prayer partners and donors will collaboratively bring blessings to the unfortunate children on the Tibetan Plateau.

As a member of the Executive Committee of the HK Church Network for the Poor, Mrs. Cheung-Ang Siew Mei, our Executive Director, was supposed to attend a meeting today to strategize any initiatives ahead with different churches or corporate partners that aim to help the needy and deprived to break the intergenerational poverty cycle in HK.  However, due to the coronavirus, the meeting was cancelled, may God be in control of the situation from getting worse.

Our Ministry Coordination Team Long Ping Centre will conduct a new public-funded initiative “Be Child, With Child” that aims at arousing general awareness towards child protection against sexual harassment, in Tuen Mun. 4 classes on self-defence and Krav Maga training for 48 youth, amongst a series of events, will begin tomorrow. For the coronavirus reason, the events were postponed until further notice. Pray that this helps develop their confidence and courage to face any challenges ahead.

Love for Every Home Drawing Competition under the Red Packet for Every Home Campaign is in its full swing now. Pray that we help bring all the participants closer to Our Lord through our endeavor; that they will learn how special they are in the eyes of our Lord and continue to nurture their creativity.

Our China programme is launching a baseline survey in Xining that aims to better equip young adults, about 18 years old, with suitable vocational training when they plan their future career paths.  Pray that all of them will be empowered to chalk out their colourful and independent living with dignity, strength and God’s inspiration.

Last Saturday, the Training Services Division initially organized a carnival near our headquarters to promote community cohesion and environmental conservation. Give thanks! We will receive generous support from Gregory Turpin who will perform in Hong Kong to raise funds for our Centre for Refugees. Pray that this concert will touch many hearts to show mercy and provide care for the marginalized sojourners in HK.

About 20 primary pupils from our Ethnic Minorities Integrated Services Woosung Street Centre will participate in orienteering at the Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park accompanied by volunteers from a private enterprise, on one-to-one basis, next Saturday morning.  Pray that our next generation would learn how to treasure and conserve our Lord’s creation.
