Pray for our steadfast faith in God’s healing and protection. Amen!

Our corporate and fundraising activities are on hold because of the epidemic crisis. Pray for God’s intervention so that our beloved society will resume its normal operations and our services and events could be implemented as planned soon. Amen!

Say thanks! Our client under Migrant Domestic Workers Programme successfully underwent chemotherapy last month without any serious side effect. Let’s continue to pray for her being strong enough to take another round of chemotherapy scheduled today. Pray for God’s strength and comfort throughout the treatment when she takes refuge in His presence.

About 148 our donation boxes are now put in counters of a local well-established fast food chain for the months of March and April. Pray that we would garner enough financial support in this challenging moment. We count every cent of donation.

Praise God! Our San Fung Avenue centre will be moving to a new premises in Landmark North, Sheung Shui in April. Pray that we strive to serve the clients on welfare benefit in one of the poorest districts in Hong Kong.

Conventionally, Christians from over 170 countries will cluster together to pray for justice and peace on the World Prayer Day every March. Although the one in HK formerly scheduled tomorrow at St. Andrew’s Parish was cancelled due to the epidemic crisis, may God’s hope and love dwell in every heart of all Christians all over the world.

Our Integrated Employment Assistance Programme has successfully secured HK$30 million for a new programme providing new employment support service the unemployed for 5.5 years. Pray for His wisdom and inspiration to the team to strategize more tailor-made services to empower the clients on welfare benefits.

Starting from today, we will resume our free daily meal programme at our headquarters for the about 48 deprived families in our vicinity.  Pray for our faith in His provision and protection to deliver love and care for those in our neighbourhood. Amen!

Christian Action was chosen as one of the ten beneficiaries under the Bank of East Asia Charitable Foundation which has secured HK$200,000 to purchase epidemic preventive kits for 2,000 underprivileged families under our different social services programmes.

May God shower His inspiration and direction on Christian Action Asia (USA) as they will hold the Board meeting today.  Pray that their strategies are based on His plan and they will witness as Jesus Christ’s followers who give care for the disabled and disadvantaged children on Tibetan Plateau.

In early February, the Philippines government lifted its travel ban against China, HK and Macau because of the epidemic crisis. Many stranded HK residents (including some 2,500 migrant workers) were allowed to return to the city. Pray for His continual direction, protection and provision for all those who rely on Him.

A few mentee’s families from our Ministry Coordination Team Long Ping Centre are still stranded in their hometowns in mainland China because of coronavirus outbreak. Let’s pray for their safe return to HK soon.

Glory to our Lord! Thanks given to the generous donor! Today and tomorrow afternoon, CA will partner with some churches to disseminate 4,000 gift bags containing pandemic preventive kits and a small bag of rice to some of our disadvantaged neighbours. Pray that we will join hands to present a witness of following Jesus Christ to embrace the disadvantaged communities with love and care.

This month, our Social Enterprise Division has been partnering with Sino Property Management Group to run a one-month-long Chinese New Year (CNY) Green Collection Drive over 100 collection spots across the city. Pray that the public will join hands to transform this ritual decluttering into a more meaningful way by contributing good-quality used items for resale in our outlets that partly sustain our charity services.

HK schools have been closed as the city battles to contain the spread of the coronavirus. Pray that all beneficiary children and their families under the care of the Child Development Fund, the New Arrivals Service Programme and EM Integrated Services Programme will be in the good hands of God. Amen!

Today our Ethnic Minorities (EM) Integrated Services team will submit a new service proposal to raise the employability of the EM clients to the Labour Department. Pray for His insight and strength to design different activities to help empower the clients to live their lives to the fullest.

Our Social Enterprise Division was interviewed on a radio programme of RTHK last month which featured our upcycling programme in Green Connect.  Pray that we strive to impart the message of 3Rs to the general public: Reuse, Recycle and Reduce to conserve God’s creation.

Some of the seniors and deprived families from our Ministry Coordination Team Long Ping Centre are heavily stricken by current pandemic outbreak. Their worries escalate when they face poverty and difficulty in securing jobs and some basic necessities. Please uphold CA to get generous support from the government and donors as we continue our mission to serve the unserved.

During the pandemic outbreak, the strain of poverty and scarcity are particularly felt by the marginalized sojourners of the Centre for Refugees as almost all the services/programmes were cancelled. The price rise and stock-out further aggravate their predicament. May God give mercy, provide and protect them.  Amen!

To prevent the coronavirus attack, many activities initially scheduled in the children’s homes and welfare institute in Qinghai have been suspended or postponed. Please uphold the children, workers and partners under our China programme in your prayers. Pray that all of them are well protected from the virus and fear.

Many local trade and industries have been seriously hit by the CONVI-19 outbreak, affecting many of our EM employees who worked in the catering and clerical sectors. May their imminent hardship be relieved by the latest epidemic relief fund.
