Pray that the participants would personally experience the divine love through self-exploration; and that it eventually helps unlock their potential so that they will treasure their talents as special gifts from our Lord.

Praise God! Thank you so much to all generous donors! We successfully raised over HK$1.9 million - more than twice our initial fundraising target after a month of the dreadful fire at our Centre for Refugees on 29 August. Pray for His wisdom and guidance in the follow-up renovation process.

Today our Long Ping Service Centre will organize an event known as ”Different Perspectives of playing games打機面面體” for 50 Child Development Programme clients. This aims at exploring different reasons for being addicted to electronic gadgets or gaming for the children. Pray that we will impart the importance of smart parenting in this digital era.

Starting from today, the On Tai Service Centre will organize 5 lessons on art therapy for 10 clients on welfare benefits in the neighbourhood every Wednesday. Pray that their holistic health and wellness would be improved through this art project; and they learn how to shed their burdens on Our Lord as He cares for every one of us.

The recent coronavirus outbreak has seriously affected the socio-economic conditions of Hong Kong. Many of our Child Development Fund Mentorship Programme client families have suffered lay-offs or wage cuts. They have great difficulties in fulfilling the Target Saving plan scheduled to end this month. Pray that they continue to have steadfast faith in God’s presence and protection despite the challenges they face ahead.

Our Long Ping Service Centre will conduct an activity themed ”Different Perspectives of stress management壓力管理面面體” for a total of 80 mentees and mentors of the Child Development Programme in these 2 days. Pray that we will help them reduce their pressure, so they can have a more positive outlook through fervent prayers and petition.

Today our Ethnic Minorities (EM) Woosung Street Service Centre will conduct a tram ride on HK Island named Explore Hong Kong on wheels. It aims to foster cultural understanding and celebrate ethnic diversity. Hopefully, all 8 participants, including EM clients and volunteers, will enjoy this precious time during this epidemic.

Our Sheung Shui Centre has just secured a public funding to carry out the “School-based After-school Learning & Support Programme” for 7 primary school pupils from now to March 2021. The children meet 4 times weekly to learn social skills and receive academic tutoring. Pray that we will better serve the disadvantaged in one of the poorest districts of Hong Kong.
