Our second round of “Feed The Hungry #ShareYourBlessing” in-kind donation to share our blessings with grassroots families is underway. A donation of HK$540 can buy 12 packs of rice to feed a family of 3 for one year. Pray that more philanthropists will support our campaign.

Congratulations! Some clients of our Centre for Refugees have recently been granted resettlement in other countries. Pray more marginalized sojourners are granted a permanent home safe and free from torture and threats.

Starting from today, our Employment Support Services On Tai Service Centre will conduct some training classes on private tutoring. Some clients on welfare benefits show great interest to learn more about the basic skills in private tutoring, like essential communication skills with children. Pray that we strive to serve the needy.

Answered prayer
One of the clients from our Migrant Domestic Workers Shelter was granted a new work visa and allowed to work in the city again. Pray that our clients experience divine love and protection through our ministry. Amen!

Pray that Christian Action Asia (USA) will reap an abundant harvest across the States from its Fall Mailing Campaign; and we deliver love and care to the deprived children in Qinghai. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 50 beneficiary children from grassroots families under the care of The Mong Kok Service Centre will attend a seminar including an eye test and will get a pair of glasses free of charge, if needed, sponsored by a business association. Pray that they will be equipped with spiritual vision and realize that God has a plan to prosper them and their families in the future.

Our Long Ping Service Centre will organize a DIY workshop, to make lipsticks, in Tin Shui Wai for a group of mentors, mentees and their parents, under our mentorship programme of the Child Development Fund this Saturday afternoon. Pray that we help enhance their mutual understanding through this activity.

Our Social Enterprise Department will run an upcycling workshop today for about 20 HK Tourism Board staff, and the products will be packed with other items as gifts for our service users.  Pray that more organizations will join us to advocate environmental conservation through this value-added upcycling programme.

Today is World Adoption Day! May our adopted children and their families in China and worldwide be blessed to grow stronger and better. Pray that all the displaced and abandoned children especially in Qinghai would be blessed to be adopted by loving families; and they feel treasured and loved.

Please pray for one of our clients in the shelter under the Migrant Domestic Workers Programme, a chronically ill patient who will attend a hearing at the Labour Tribunal tomorrow. May she be blessed with His peace, mercy and justice in this challenging time, that she will soon be reunited with her family in her hometown and continue her medical treatment.

Our On Tai Service Centre will organize a day camp at Sai Kung for 40 student mentees under the Child Development Fund (CDF) Mentorship Programme this weekend. Pray that all these activities help the children in self-exploration and foster Godly values in them.

May God continue to shower His abundant blessings on CA as it starts a new chapter at its new headquarters in Choi Wan Estate. Pray that we strive to be the salt and light in our beloved community year after year.  Amen!

We are going to host 2 separate Charity Dinners this evening and then on 27th November. May God bless us with a fruitful harvest, and that more committed partners would be inspired to support our ministries in Qinghai.

Regular exercise keeps us fit both physically and mentally especially during the epidemic. Christian Action sponsored by the Wong Tai Sin District Council has started running various sports activities such as stretching, Molkky and Spikeball for residents in the district this month. Pray that we strive to enhance joy, vigor and community cohesion for our beloved neighbours.

Our Training Services Division has conducted several activities promoting its ERB training programmes including a Commercial Photography trial class and Healthy Massage workshops. Pray that we help empower job seekers to realize their dreams.

In collaboration with the International Social Service Hong Kong Branch, our Sheung Shui Service Centre is launching a campaign themed “Let’s Talk” or <傾> for about 10 children between ages 6 and 14 as well as their parents (including new arrival families and cross-border families). Separate group meetings for the children and their parents are held every Friday this month to improve their emotional intelligence and inter-generational communication. Pray that they gradually understand the essence of the bible verse “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”   Proverbs 22:6

Today CATS-Alumni Club will run a free workshop on dementia for health caregivers. Pray that our efforts will lessen their burden and empower them with skills and knowledge, and they will feel loved and cared for.

Give thanks! Upon previously submitting the revised proposal specifying and extending our scope of services covering medical care for handicapped children and vocational training for young adults on the Tibetan Plateau, we are glad to receive a positive response from the local government in Qinghai. Pray that our ministry will strive to send warmth and hope to the needy on the Tibetan Plateau.

Due to the pandemic, some formerly planned events for the 7th phase CDF Mentorship Programme could not be held but fortunately, we have been given a time extension until the end of March 2022. Pray for His continuous presence, protection and guidance to follow His plan and glorify His name. Amen!

From today, an intern at our Sheung Shui Service Centre will start an art workshop, painting on glass bottles, for some women on welfare benefits on 4 consecutive Friday mornings. Pray that we help broaden their life experiences and motivate them to live a purposeful life pleasing to God.

Today is the last day of a series of training programmes on sailing titled “Boating is Fun” in Sai Kung organized by our Ethnic Minorities (EM) Youth Ambassador team for our EM clients every weekend since October.
