Mrs Leung, who lives in a cramped, cubicle Sham Shui Po apartment with her family of six, is an example of how desperate circumstances can get and why your help is needed. During the pandemic Mrs Leung’s husband suffered a sharp drop in income. Then they lost all their possessions to a tenement fire in their building. And as if that wasn’t enough, Mrs Leung’s father endured a traumatic battle with cancer. Suddenly the family of six was left in dire straits.

The good news is that because of supporters like you, Christian Action was able to step in after the fire and provide Mrs Leung’s family with a monthly emergency food pack to reduce their daily expenses, basic bed linen, daily necessities and more.

In November 2021, following a referral from the school, two of Mrs. Leung’s daughters, Ching and Yan enrolled in our Mong Kok Centre "After-School Care" services and both showed great improvements in their grades!
