Our Centre for Refugees secured a funding to finance its employability programme for the most marginalized sector of the community. The programme helps refugees, who have been granted permission by the Director of Immigration, using his discretionary right, to seek jobs in Hong Kong. May God move the hearts of the potential employers to join hands with us to bless the beneficiaries through this initiative.

A Korean church in HK will visit our MKC this week to give some Christmas presents and blessings to forty-five children from deprived families. May God bless those who are merciful to others and think of the needs of the poor during the festival!

Today is Christian Action’s annual Christmas staff party. Pray that all of us at CA will put aside our workload for a while; relax and enjoy these precious moments together as a big family; and meditate what “God is love” means.

Please pray that the disenfranchised and disadvantaged such as migrant domestic helpers working far away from home, or refugees stranded in Hong Kong would feel cared for and not alone, especially at a time that reminds people of family reunions. Pray that they feel embraced by Godly love when they stay far from their hometown by choice or by chance. Amen!

To highlight Christmas, our CDF-OTSC will organize a carnival today for neighbours to promote an inclusive community. Pray that all participants will feel God’s love and care through our ministry.
Let us meditate on the scripture “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us;” and may God bless the world with peace. Amen!

Pray for more people, regardless of race, age, gender, or religion, to embrace our goal to help the needy, helpless, and marginalized in Hong Kong and Qinghai. In addition, that Christians will follow Our Savior Jesus Christ’s example to love and care for the disadvantaged. Amen!

Soaring inflation has aggravated the problems of livelihood of many vulnerable families under our CDF programme, especially those in the Northern District. Our CDF team in the Long Ping Service Centre (LPSC) has helped three client families to apply for funding to ease part of their financial burden. Pray that our ministry will strive to be salt and light to the community and share the burden of the grassroots sector. Amen!
