Praise God and thanks to generous donors for supporting forty of our client children from the Mong Kok Service Centre (MKC) to enjoy a wonderful time playing riddles and writing Fai Chun at the event “Rejoice with the children at the Lunar New Year” (與童樂迎新歲) on 23rd January. Pray that we help remind others to rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Amen!

May God give our marketing team fresh energy and passion to sell the cookies and may the proceeds be abundant enough to support parts of our ministries in both Hong Kong and Qinghai.

Our On Tai Service Centre (OTSC) will conduct a series of activities on learning various handicrafts, acquiring enrichment skills and job interviewing techniques for its clients on welfare benefits. Pray that the beneficiaries would be synergized to feel embraced and cared for; and regain their courage and seek long-term employment soon. Amen!

Our Social Enterprise Department will co-organize several ESG events stressing on Environmental, Social or Governance issues with the Housing Authority this month. Pray that we continue to partner with different stakeholders in the community for green advocacy and environmental education to the public. Amen!

Our “Red Packet for Every Home campaign” 「家+家有利是」慈善活動 will kick off from now till 4th March to inspire more school kids to donate their red packets (or “Lai See”) to aid the less fortunate and needy in Hong Kong. Pray that they learn the essence of “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

Gratitude should be expressed to the Faculty of Architecture of HKU who hopes to maximize space utilization in the sub-divided units (SDUs) under its “SDUs Upgrade Programme” by using aluminum framing. Thirty families from our Mong Kok Service Centre (MKC) will benefit from this initiative. Hopefully, we will partner with more stakeholders who contribute their effort and expertise to deliver love and care to the disadvantaged and needy. Amen!

May Our Lord generously shower His mercy, protection and provision to the ladies temporarily dwelling in our shelter under the Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) programme. Pray that the MDWs struggling with their cases at the tribunal courts are blessed with a gentle and calm spirit to face the challenges ahead.

Let us pray continually for the smooth progress of our Diversity Hub at Chung King Mansions; that it will be opened officially on schedule. It is a mini museum specially designated to feature EM communities in Hong Kong and guided by EM youth who we pray will be empowered by our enrichment programme.

In February, donation boxes which are normally placed on the counters of retail outlets and institutes will be placed in some new locations. Pray that we garner enough financial support for our ministries at this difficult time. Amen!

Our Sheung Shui Service Centre (SSC) will conduct a workshop titled “Beware of Employment Traps when signing a new employment contract” (職場制勝-新入職簽約要注意的職場陷阱) tomorrow. Pray that the attendees will stay alert and cautious to avoid job scams or job-hunting traps; and that they would be equipped to seek long-term jobs and pursue their dreams with vigor and skills.

Our EM Youth Ambassador (EMAm) team will organize a cable car ride at Ngong Ping 360 today. Pray that all participants enjoy themselves, broaden their horizons and feel that they are precious in the eyes of God. Amen!

This February, our OTSC will organize two cooking classes for its ethnic minority (EM) female clients to promote healthy diets and cultural integration. Pray that we help deliver warmth and care to them and they understand that “humankind cannot live by bread alone, but also by everything that comes from the Lord’s mouth.” Deuteronomy 8:3

Our MKC has submitted funding proposals for much needed after-school support service for children from disadvantaged families. Pray for smooth approvals of applications, and that we continue to lessen the burden of disadvantaged families as most of the parents have to work long hours to subsist. Amen!

Today, some student mentees from our OTSC – CDF programme will visit the Hong Kong Palace Museum as an event under the Civic Education’s Happy Exploration Tour programme with a view to imparting more knowledge about the history of China to the younger generation. Pray that as we strive to deliver warmth and care to them, they personally feel that “the Lord will bless them and keep them.” Numbers 6:24

Our EMAm team arranges different activities, both indoors and outdoors, including baking classes, board games, cricket, and other sports for our EM youth. Pray that all beneficiaries enjoy their play time and that we continue to help them learn, grow and get integrated into the community with ease.

SSC will launch an activity themed “Your Ideal Family” or 「你想理想 Family」 this Friday with a view to strengthening family ties and establishing a steady mutual support system. Hopefully, they will understand and appreciate the essence of effective inter-generational communication and learn how to leverage their worry and anxiety to our Lord for He cares. Even more important is that they learn Godly values of “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.” Proverb 22:6

The CATS-Alumni Club of our Training Services Division will hold an activity on stretching exercises today in Yuen Long. Pray that all participants enjoy the activity and stay tuned to the job market, through our well-tailored vocational training and re-training programmes. Amen!

The United Nations (UN) designated today as World Day of Social Justice to stimulate the public to think about how social justice affects poverty eradication, with a view to achieving full employment and support for social integration. May Christian Action (CA) be blessed to continuously function as His channel of speaking up for the unspoken and marginalized sector. Pray that compassionate Christians/people are called upon to follow what is said in the bible: To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 Amen!

Our Child Development Fund - On Tai Service Centre (CDF-OTSC) will co-organize with another NGO a visit to the Sai Kung New Being Oasis-drug rehabilitation service for twenty-five student mentees under the 9th-batch CDF next week. Hopefully, this helps to instill Godly values in our younger generation who will choose to follow His way. Amen!

Our Social Enterprise Department is launching a Green Collection Charity Drive at a housing estate in the vicinity. Pray that lots of used and good quality items will be collected. These will be sold in our charity outlets throughout Hong Kong, the income will be used to support part of our charity works.

To comply with new requirements under the Employees Retraining Board (ERB), some of our training centres have to replace their computers installed with Windows 11 effective from 1 April. Please pray for a smooth and timely delivery and installation since we always believe in His providence and protection “Our Father already knows our needs.” Luke 12:30

Today begins the new semester in spring for all schools in the Qinghai Province, including the afterschool care service rendered at the Shuangji Children's Service and Activity Centre. Pray that the beneficiary children will continue to enjoy and cherish the precious moments through our service and care. Amen!
