Yesterday, the Digital Learning Centre launched the Cohort 3 - Software Quality Assurance Training course under our ACE IT TALENTS PROJECT. Thank you, God, for its successful initiation. The course aims to prepare participants for their return to the marketplace.

Harry, our EM project-in-charge at the Mong Kok Service Centre (MKC), is back to visit his home country and make arrangements for his wife to join him in Hong Kong. Let us pray for his safe travels,a successful visa application for his wife, and his continued dedication to serving the EM. Praise God!

Please continue to pray for the Myanmar earthquake. May the Lord strengthen the hearts of those affected and allow them to experience Your peace and provision, comfort the families who have lost their loved ones, heal the broken bodies, and grant hope so that this land can stand on its feet again. Care-giver Café Corner – Our Sheung Shui Service Centre, welcomes 10 carers from the northern New Territories each on today and 21st for a pot planting workshop. The workshop offers relaxation and aims to lift carers up before the Lord, seeking comfort from stress and toil.

Green Collection Charity Drives will be held across housing estates, encouraging residents to donate used, high-quality items. Our Community Sales Outlets will resell these, proceeds to fund community initiatives. Please pray for favours from the Lord during the collection.

Pray for the Child Development Fund Batch 10 launch ceremony. Let us be a blessing to the underprivileged children and youths, help develop saving habits, participate in personal development plans and enjoy godly mentorship, as children are the inheritance of God.

Prayer Answered
Our annual signature event – 3-Legged Charity Easter Island Adventure 2025 was successfully held last month on 12th April. We give our heartfelt thanks to our Father God, who graciously held back the strong winds and rain until the event ended and we had safely packed-up and departed. His grace truly carried us through! Pray that our fundraising effort will help those we serve and that those who contributed and supported are blessed. Amen.

Today is the Justice and Social Concern Committee (JSCC) meeting, chaired by Mrs. Cheung-Ang Siew Mei, JP, our Executive Director. JSCC is addressing the issue of Hong Kong youth feeling like failures, urging for mental and health support to help them live their dreams confidently.

Food Angel introduces a new automated 24-hour free food dispenser at MKC, serving 100 meals daily supporting those with irregular working hours, the elderly and underprivileged families. Pray that our collaboration will help the needy.

We, together with Wong Tai Sin District residents celebrate HKSAR's 28th anniversary with a flag-raising ceremony and a Dragon Boat Dumpling Wrap workshop at our Headquarters. We bless CA for being the beacon light in the mountains.

Two days later on 20th May, our Sheung Shui Service Centre will host a "Streamline Your Life and Workplace Workshop" for some of our EmSS service users, focusing on decluttering past memories, navigating emotions, and transitioning to new career opportunities.

Twenty children from MKC, have been invited by the Yau-Tsim-Mong Home Affairs Department to visit the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, this coming Sunday. Please pray for their safety during the trip, and that they may be inspired by the beauty of God's creation through the animals, flowers and trees.

Please pray for the awardees of Christian Action Scholarship for Excellence (CASE). The presentation award ceremony was held on 30th April. Pray that the 19 young recipients will feel honoured & lifted-up on this special occasion and can receive, accept this recognition as a foundation stone, upon which they can build, as they commence their Tertiary education.

This is the second part of the 8th May workshop for carers; participants can enjoy a calming cooking session, crafting Jumeokbap Korean rice balls. This workshop is designed to nurture a sense of community and rejuvenate the energy of carers. Please pray that the carers can have a time for relaxation and become recharged.

One foundation & an international biotech company are collaborating for a Women’s Check-Up Week, focusing on cervical cancer screening for underprivileged women. The initiative will launch today, with Mrs. Cheung sharing insights about HPV community support programme, to emphasize women's health and encourage HPV vaccination, to prevent cervical cancer. Please pray that this event is successful and attendees will know they are being cared for.

The renovation of the Migrant Domestic Workers’ shelter is completed to welcome back our clients this month. May this sanctuary continue to offer comfort and support to migrant domestic workers who personally understand “God is their shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble”. Psalms 46:1 Amen!

Driven by a desire to explore their roots, several adoptees from Xining Children’s Home are attempting to connect with their biological and foster parents, after overseas adoption. These reunions have been deeply moving for both adoptees & their foster parents, who have expressed heartfelt gratitude for the care and love shared over the years. We thank God they are in good hands and blessed.

We ask for prayers for a fruitful event, smooth proceedings and divine guidance for interviewees, to seek & achieve their dream jobs.
