Our Migrant Domestic Workers’ (MDWs) Programme will host a celebration party this week to welcome the shelter’s clients back after the renovation. May this sanctuary, aka “A Home of Hope”, continue to comfort and support the clients who personally understand “God is their shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble”. Psalms 46:1 Amen!

One of the overseas adoptees from Xining Children’s Home will visit CA’s headquarters today before he goes back to Qinghai to explore his roots. He is attempting to connect with his biological and foster parents; and express his gratitude for all the care and love rendered to him in the past years in the children’s home. Pray that more people are touched by these inspiring stories and know about God’s miracles and blessings.

CA’s Flag Day, themed "Diverse Characters, Unlimited Power", will be launched in the New Territories on 19th July to raise funds for our charity services for the disadvantaged sector. This year CA will work in collaboration with local artists, creators of the popular cartoon cat, Din Dong, to unleash unlimited power by giving and teaming up people of diverse characteristics to uplift the community with love, hope and faith. Meanwhile, the related mini website for the flag day will be launched in mid-June. Pray for the successful launch on-line and the physical one in a bid to raise funds for our charitable social services. Amen!

In light of better equipping EM welfare clients in the vicinity, the Employment Support Service (EmSS) team at OTSC will conduct a talk in English introducing the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) training and re-training programmes for them. Hopefully, this would help enhance their job skills and self-confidence to enter the job market more easily. Amen!

The Sheung Shui Service Centre (SSC) will host a tea party to appreciate the carers for their voluntary service at its Care-giver Café Corner in the past year. Pray that all participants will enjoy the wonderful moments; and God continues to shower His blessings to improve the future operation of the initiative.

The EmSS team will organize a traditional Chinese papercutting class for the clients at OTSC in a bid to promote Chinese culture and handicrafts. Hopefully, all participants would treasure such precious moments; and it will also enhance cultural exchange and community integration through our efforts.

Our Long Ping Service Centre (LPSC) will jointly organize an event to bless the Community in Yuen Long tomorrow with some partner churches. Over the weekends in June, our Child Development Fund (CDF) programme teams have been conducting a series of classes ranging from handicraft making and cooking to outdoor games for mentor-and-mentee pairs. Pray that they will strengthen the pairs’ relationship; and eventually the youth and their families will benefit from this 3-year mentorship programme and coached to walk with faith in God.

The Ethnic Minorities Youth Ambassador (EMAm) team has been organizing different activities, including cooking, make-up, board games and swimming for EM kids across the city this June. Pray that this will be a time of fun, where friendships are formed, and that they feel God’s love through our ministry. Amen!

Our SSC will conduct a talk for the recipients on welfare benefit focusing on the Employment Ordinance tomorrow. Pray that all participants will gain knowledge on basic protections under the labour law, regardless of their employment status; and that the public will recognize our efforts to aid the poor in the North District. Amen!

Recently CA has received some complimentary admission tickets to a local theme park for some deprived families from our MKC and CATS-Alumni Club. Pray that they will enjoy a wonderful family time in the beautifully designed park. Amen!

Thanks should be expressed to a HK-based prosthetist-orthotist who has volunteered to serve in Xining. This week he will return again as a volunteer. Pray that more professionals and experts would be inspired to join us to improve our services to children/youth from the impoverished sector on the Tibetan Plateau.

Our EmSS-OTSC has organized again a new Chinese learning class for its EM children twice weekly this month. Pray that all beneficiary children will enjoy Chinese as a language, culture, tradition and custom with fun. And they understand that Our Lord has a plan to prosper them. Amen!

Let’s Upskill Together!” to promote our Employee Retraining Board courses for the EM sector at our Choi Wan Training Centre.
