In the wake of the heartbreaking Tai Po fire last Wednesday that took many lives, injured many and displaced families, we pray for healing and peace. Amid grief, we honour the bravery of firefighters, commend the compassion of neighbours and the swift response, in offering shelter. The Church and community have been called to offer comfort, practical help and love. May this sorrow inspire mercy, hope and renewed care, through the blessings of faith and mercy and that we can bring light, to sudden darkness and help re-build lives. Amen!

Our Mong Kok Service Centre (MKC) recently co-hosted a STEM-themed workshop—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—with a corporate partner, tailored for our children clients. Pray that this initiative will ignite wonder in their hearts and they discover the unique gifts He has endowed them, inspiring them with a deeper sense of purpose in their learning path. “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Pray for safe and smooth preparation work in the following days. May God's guidance and protection cover every detail and the logistics of the whole process. Amen!

Well-chosen good-quality items will be sold in our outlets. The On Tai Service Centre (OTSC) has launched a new initiative called the “3Cs Programme” since September, emphasizing 3 key areas: Chinese tutorial classes, Chance for workplace tours and Career workshops for Ethnic Minority (EM) youth. The initiative aims to improve their Chinese language proficiency and support them in exploring and shaping their future career paths. Pray that we continue to empower them toward greater social mobility and a brighter future. Amen!

Several children under the care of our Children and Youth Programmes will be sitting for their mid-term internal school examinations. Pray that each of them will be diligent in their studies, do their best, and experience the fruit of their hard work. May God grant them focus, confidence, and peace throughout the process.

Please pray in unison especially for the refugees and domestic helpers under our care; and ask for renewed commitment to fostering harmony and inclusion, embracing diversity across race, religion, and nationality. This week, our Sheung Shui Service Centre (SSC) will hold a one-day activity themed “Positive Parenting with Love” supported by the North District Office with a view to introducing the educational system in HK to new arrival families; imparting dining etiquette to them and offering them a tour of the HKU campus as well. May God bless them with joy, peace, and a deeper sense of belonging so that they will integrate into the new environment with ease.

Today is CA’s Annual Christmas Party. Pray that it will be held smoothly, and all staff & board members will have a lot of fun and make sweet memories; and a sense of belonging will be fostered through celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Saviour whom we look up to and rely on.

Today, we will host a cheerful carnival at the basketball court near Choi Wan Estate 1, welcoming 500 to 800 people. Featuring stage performances, interactive game stalls, a health check station, and a booth promoting ERB courses, this event aims to bless the community with connection, care, and opportunity, while witnessing CA as a faithful example of following Jesus Christ.

Our Tsuen Wan Training Centre will soon be relocated to a new unit within the same building. Renovation work on the new premises is currently in progress to prepare for the transition. Pray that the renovation will be safe, smooth and completed on schedule. May the relocation be seamless and lead to our improved service quality.

Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance as we prepare the Diversity Hub interim report for our donor this month. May the Holy Spirit lead every word and may Christ’s love be evident. The Diversity Hub, led by ethnic minorities (EM) youth empowered by CA, fosters understanding through a mini-museum experience. Pray that more people recognize our commitment to serving EM communities and promoting social cohesion through this ministry.

This December, our Long Ping Service Centre (LPSC) will co-organize with other churches in Tin Shui Wai some joyful Christmas celebrations for Child Development Fund (CDF) student mentees and mentors, including Christmas Caroling, a Community Carnival and another festive decoration workshop. Pray that, through these gatherings, we share Christ’s love with our neighbors, and that fun, fellowship, and Gospel witness will deepen community bonds.

A seminar named “Navigating the delicate line between life and death in the silver-age journey” will be organized at our Jordan Training Centre to equip corporations in the property management and security sector. May God use this workshop to strengthen their compassion, wisdom, and readiness in caring for elderly residents, especially in moments of crisis, with grace, dignity, and peace.

This December, our Ethnic Minorities (EM) Youth Ambassador Team (EMAm) will continue to host a variety of engaging activities for EM youth—including games, handicraft workshops, and sports sessions such as cricket. Pray that we seek to nurture their personal growth, build their confidence, and create a supportive environment where every young person feels valued, encouraged, and embraced by the love of Christ in our community.

This December, the Mong Kok Service Centre (MKC) is joyfully celebrating Christmas with birthday and Christmas parties, plus an outing to Ocean Park. Pray that through these warm gatherings, every participant will deeply experience God’s love. As we rejoice in the promise, “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (God with us), may His presence fill us with peace and His light shines brightly upon the world. Amen.

Happy Winter Solstice!
As this season reminds us of family gatherings and togetherness, let us lift up in prayer those who are often overlooked—the disenfranchised and disadvantaged, including migrant domestic workers far from home and refugees stranded in Hong Kong. May they feel seen, supported, and not alone. And may the love of God embrace them deeply, whether they are far from home by choice or by circumstance. Amen!

The participants will also bring and share their cultural dishes, celebrating the wonderful diversity within our community as a reflection of God’s creativity and grace. Pray that all of them will enjoy and cherish this precious moment.

Please join us in prayer as we seek a timely and effective solution for the migration of all our computer classrooms from MS Office 2016 to Microsoft 365, preferably within this month. This urgent transition comes in response to a sudden directive from the Employee Retraining Board (ERB), with a deadline set for 31st March 2026. May He grant us wisdom, strength, and the right resources to navigate this process smoothly. Amen!

In light of the government’s initiative to strengthen after-school care services for underprivileged families, our MKC will extend support to additional primary schools in the vicinity, sponsored by the Community Care Fund, starting next year. Pray that we will continue to serve with wisdom, compassion, and excellence, so we can meet the needs of these children and their families, and reflect God’s love through our dedicated ministry.
