One of our shelter clients under the Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) programme finally settled her court case, which was ongoing for nearly 2 years, and was able to return home just in time for Christmas.
May His presence, providence and comfort continue to surround the other tenants still waiting; and may their cases be resolved very soon as well.

Let us continue to lift CA’s Season of Love Charity Sale 2025–26 in prayer. This meaningful initiative resumes with renewed purpose. This year, we will collaborate with 5 gifted local designers, offering their beautiful, unique and heartfelt festive gifts that reflect God-given creativity. May our Lord bless this endeavour, provide abundantly, and use it to bring Christ’s love, hope, and support to the underprivileged. Amen.

Today, our Child Development Fund (CDF) programme team will host a gospel movie screening for children, parents, and mentors under the CDF Mentorship Programme. Pray that it will be a wonderful moment to share God’s love, hope and truth. May this three-year mentorship journey nurture the mentees’ lives and the families who will choose to seek God following what is said in the bible: Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household. Acts 16:31

Since August last year, our Sheung Shui Service Centre (SSC) has been actively expanding its service users network. We humbly seek God's wisdom and inspiration, as we plan relevant support initiatives to address service needs in Northern District — one of the fastest-growing regions in the city.

In the aftermath of the Tai Po fire last November, we humbly continue to lift our prayers for God’s enduring mercy and comfort for the families affected. May His light shine ever brighter through the darkness, and may the government, churches, and community—united in compassion—become vessels of His healing and divine love in this time of crisis. May this sorrow awaken in us a deeper commitment to mercy, justice, and care for one another, as we walk together on the long road to recovery. Amen.

The Women’s Mutual Aid Group at Mong Kok Service Centre (MKC) will continue bi-monthly meetings, offering a supportive platform for women; especially from disadvantaged backgrounds, to connect, share, and grow. Pray that these women will be empowered through the talks, workshops and peer support groups MKC offers; and they feel cared for and cherished by the community through our ministry.

The Yuen Long District Office and the Social Welfare Department (SWD) will launch the "Colorful Life in Yuen Long" – Games Day for the families tomorrow. Our Long Ping Service Centre (LPSC) is privileged to install a game booth for this occasion. Pray that we will continue to cooperate with more stakeholders in this city to serve the deprived community.

Today, some EM primary school pupils from CA will participate in an Inclusive Student Event under the Wong Tai Sin District Police Community Relations Office, aiming to foster understanding and unity among students from all walks of life. Pray that we continue to partner with different stakeholders in the community for green advocacy and environmental education to the public.

Pray that it will effectively summarize all important details of our programmes over the year, that our friends and supporters will stay tuned for service updates and there will be an increase in the number of people motivated to share our vision and mission, leading to different contributions to our work. Our Ethnic Minorities (EM) Youth Ambassador Team (EMAm) will host a series of engaging activities for EM youth—including board games and other sports sessions. Pray that through these moments of fun and connection, we may nurture their personal growth, strengthen their confidence, and foster a supportive environment where each young person feels seen, valued, and embraced by the community with respect and dignity.

Please continue to pray for the safe and smooth renovation of our Tsuen Wan Training Centre, and then the successful relocation to a new unit within the same building afterwards. May the reinstatement of the old premises be completed on time; thus ensuring a seamless transition. In the long run, may these efforts lead to enhanced service quality with greater impact. Amen!

Tomorrow, a group of EM youth from the On Tai Service Centre’s (OTSC) 3Cs Programme—which focuses on three key areas: Chinese language tutorials, Chance for workplace tours, and Career workshops—will visit a global corporation. Pray that this valuable experience will allow the beneficiaries to gain insights into real workplace environments, broaden their horizons, and inspire their future aspirations through our ministry.

Pray that this joyful gathering will nurture a spirit of inclusion, sense of belonging, and mutual care among all participants. May CA be recognized “like light for the whole world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden” Matthew 5:14 as we follow Jesus Christ’s example. Amen.

Let us pray for a deeper, visible witness to the truth that we are all “called to the one hope” Ephesians 4:4, echoing this year’s theme.

In light of the government’s public consultation for the 2026 – 27 Budget, we pray that a wise and forward-looking financial plan can be crafted, aligned with the nation’s 15th Five-Year Plan. — Focusing on economic growth, innovation and the creation of quality employment opportunities, CA has just submitted our opinions to the government. Let us pray for divine wisdom and discernment for our leaders, that they may shape policies that not only uplift the grassroots population, but enhance the well-being of all.

Our China team is currently preparing a series of annual programme reports to be submitted to the local government by the end of January. Please pray for smooth progress throughout the preparation process. May our ongoing efforts to empower the young generation on the Tibetan Plateau. Amen!

Praise God! Our Afterschool Care Service Scheme as sponsored by the Community Care Fund will be extended to another primary school starting from this month. Pray that we aid to lessen the burden of the disadvantaged families as we believe what Jesus Christ said in Matthew 19:14 , “Let the little children come to me, do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

At present, a number of donation boxes are placed in different chain shops of CA’s corporate partners. Pray that we can be connected to more shops and commercial outlets for placing our donation boxes; to diversify the fundraising income in this challenging moment. Amen!

The government strongly recommends that everyone, especially the elderly and those with weaker immunity, should take precautions and receive the influenza vaccination. Congratulations to CA for being awarded a two-year contract by the Employees Retraining Board (ERB), to operate the “Smart Living” Scheme in Kowloon starting April 2026. This initiative offers a free, one-stop referral platform connecting employers with trained domestic helpers, while enhancing job opportunities and networks for ERB trainees. Pray that we can succeed to support evolving job market needs and provide up-to-date employment information, for job seekers. Amen!

We will deliver 200 Chinese New Year Blessing bags, sponsored by a private corporation, to the elderly neighbours today. May the event unfold smoothly and joyfully; and each recipient will feel cherished and empowered through this initiative.
