Christian Action (CA) has been launching the 2026 Chinese New Year Blessing Bags programme, delivering some staple food stuffs as a gesture of warmth and love to the needy and senior communities, during the festival. May the initiative unfold smoothly and joyfully; and allow each recipient to feel cherished and uplifted. May more members of the public be moved to support this effort during this special season. Amen.

Our Mong Kok Service Centre (MKC) is currently initiating different events under a supportive home enhancement programme, as sponsored by a bank for 200 disadvantaged households in Sham Shui Po; including the addition of some specified home appliances and devices to improve their living environment. Pray that we continue to collaborate with different parties to share the burden of the needy so that they feel loved and cared for by the community. Amen!

As we continue to lift up in prayer, the Tai Po Fire families who have been displaced to Kai Tak Transitional Housing, we join hands with a partner Christian NGO and churches in offering support. Over the past months, this has included home visits and a pun choi feast and in March we will host a series of relaxation workshops, to further express our care and concern. May this shared tragedy deepen our resolve to embody mercy, justice and compassion towards the less fortunate in our community, as we walk together on this long journey of recovery. Amen.

Say thanks to all supporters for the “Red Packet Charity Sale”, which has been successfully completed. Pray that every act of kindness was converted into warmth and care for the deprived families; and that they may feel divine love and hope in their lives, through our collective effort. Amen.

This month, our Social Enterprise Department (SED) is running a number of community events and workshops stressing Environmental, Social or Governance, with different stakeholders across the city. Pray that all participants experience a deepening sense of community and God’s love as they attend these events.

This March, the Child Development Fund (CDF) Mentorship Programme will host a joyful BBQ gathering for mentees, mentors and parents. It aims to strengthen bonds among all three groups, fostering deeper connections and encouraging them to seek God through this meaningful programme. May His name, be honoured and glorified through these relationships. Amen!

The World Day of Prayer is conventionally scheduled in early March. This day will be held today and the liturgy is prepared by Nigeria, themed “I Will Give You Rest. Come” Matthew 11:28-30. Through this event, Christians from over 170 regions always gather to worship and pray for justice and peace, especially for women and children. May Godly hope and love dwell in every Christian heart all over the world, so that as Christians we can make impactful changes for the better.

Today is International Women’s Day.
Women, especially refugees and Migrant Domestic Worker mothers estranged from their families by choice, or by chance, may feel even more stressed at this difficult time. May Our Lord give them resilience, patience, faith and hope to withstand challenges and destitution in HK. Please uphold these women in prayers.

The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) will begin in March. Pray that all students sitting for it, will be well-prepared and can achieve satisfactory results. Pray that CA’s ministry will lift-up the youths; regardless of race, ethnicity, ability, or background; that they will discover their passion and direction in life. May they come to know that God has a plan to prosper them. Amen!

Today, Long Ping Service Centre (LPSC) will host a workshop on financial management and a targeted savings workshop for CDF parents. May God shower these with His wisdom, so that we can continue to guide the parents in understanding how to teach their children, sound principles of money management and effective use of targeted savings to achieve their personal development plans. May His grace lead and His name be glorified through this endeavour. Amen!

Our On Tai Service Centre (OTSC) will conduct a series of activities on acquiring enrichment skills and job interviewing techniques for some Ethnic Minorities (EM) men. Pray that the beneficiaries would be synergized to feel embraced and cared for; and regain their courage to seek long-term employment soon. Amen!

Our Information and Technology Department will carry out the migration of all computer classrooms from MS Office 2016 - to Microsoft 365, by the end of this month, pursuant to the directive of the Employee Retraining Board (ERB). May God grant wisdom and strength, so that the entire transition will be completed smoothly and on schedule.

Congratulations! Today marks the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between CA and the International Alliance for Education Accreditation (IAEA), a globally recognized accreditation body for specialists. This milestone represents a significant step forward, in advancing our vocational education to the level of accredited certification. May we continue to strive in empowering our trainees to pursue and fulfil their career aspirations.

CA has recently conducted a basic training and a gathering for the volunteer team. Starting from this week, the team will begin two home visits to residents in the surrounding community. May these efforts help strengthen bonds, nurture a spirit of belonging, and foster deeper cohesion amongst neighbours. Amen!

Five interns from HK Baptist University have recently joined our Sheung Shui Service Centre (SSC) until the end of April. Pray that both the students and CA will be enriched through the internship programme and that this experience will inspire them to serve or support our ministries in the future.

CA will co-organize a job fair with a job-seeking platform titled “搵工升級” or Career Advancement in Lok Fu, offering both full-time and part-time jobs in different industries. Pray for His wisdom and connection, that we would offer the right matching and employment opportunities for job-seekers and bring faith and hope to them. Amen!

The International Day of Happiness, established by the United Nations in 2013, reminds us that true progress should include how we nurture joy, wellbeing and compassion in our community. It also calls us to reflect on how to build a more harmonious world through kindness and encouragement. Guided by Philippians 4:4 — Rejoice in the Lord always. — we are inspired to cultivate gratitude, love and hope on the journey toward a brighter future. Amen!

Happy Birthday to our Diversity Hub (DH) at Chung King Mansions! Today marks its first anniversary. DH serves as a welcoming space for both Hong Kong residents and international visitors, to learn about the local ethnic minority (EM) community. Through a mini-museum led by EM youth as tour guides who have been empowered by CA’s training. Hopefully, visitors will gain meaningful insights and connections; and people will recognize our commitment to serving minorities and join us, in fostering mutual understanding and social cohesion. Amen!

The EMAm has been organizing different activities, including a Chinese class and tutorial classes, board games and sports games for EM children across the city. Pray that this will be a time of fun, where friendships are established, horizons are broadened and that they will also feel God’s love through our ministry. Amen!

The Hong Kong Christian Council (HKCC), where Mrs. Cheung-Ang Siew Mei JP, (our Executive Director,) serves as a member of the Executive Committee, will host its 2026 Chinese New Year gathering tomorrow. Forty representatives from different denominations will join in fellowship to celebrate this special occasion. Pray that it will seek to glorify God, by fostering unity in the Body of Christ and bearing witness to His love in our city. Beyond, it is a time to reflect on His abundant blessings, to be inspired, toward compassionate service and to reaffirm our shared mission of advancing His Kingdom in HK. Amen!

This year, our Training Services Division (TSD) has received a number of Employees Retraining Board’s (ERB) corporate and individual employee awards at its award presentation, recognizing our services for the unemployed and underemployed. Pray that we continue to retrain and place numerous people in better jobs and to use their gifts from God! Amen!

Some university students have been offering regular daily communicative Chinese classes every Saturday, for the EM women at our OTSC from January to March. Pray that we strive to collaborate with other stakeholders to enrich our EM sector so that they feel loved, cared for and get integrated to the community more easily.

This month, our SED is conducting several green collection initiatives in various private housing estates in our vicinity. Well-chosen good-quality items will be sold in our community sales outlets. Pray that public awareness will be significantly aroused to support our ministry; and will understand this is also a means to fulfil charity work.

Our OTSC team will co-host an “SEN Day” tomorrow morning, with the SEN Ministry of the Justice and Social Concern Committee and other Christian organizations. Hopefully, through different experiential sessions, participants will acquire more understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their caregivers. Please pray.

Pray for His continuous direction, inspiration, and providence through our dedicated Board members and colleagues who share the same mission and vision, of caring for the vulnerable and needy both in HK and Qinghai; and may His guidance and presence with them unite them as one Body, to spread love and hope to our city in line with our mission, despite the challenges ahead. Amen!

This month, CA will submit various funding applications to support our ministries serving refugees, asylum-seekers and migrant domestic workers. Pray for His mercy and favour, that sponsorship will be granted to sustain our services for these most marginalized sectors in the community, as we hold fast to the words of Matthew 25:40, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Amen!

Our LPSC, together with a partner church, has organized craft activities for our clients every Friday in March. Pray that all participants will find joy in these gatherings, discover their potential through our services and grow in confidence and relationships. May this strengthen community cohesion and deepen the sense of belonging. Amen!

Several clients in our Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) programme are currently facing court proceedings and have sought refuge in our shelter. May God’s presence, providence, and comfort surround them, granting inner peace at this difficult time. Pray that our ministry will continue to serve as a safe haven and a source of hope for them. Amen!
