Praise God! Despite the poor weather, our job fair held last month at Yue Man Square offering employment opportunities in different sectors was warmly attended by about 1,000 people. Pray that our consistent effort in providing enrichment training programmes and job market information will empower job seekers.

Many kids under the care of our children and youth programmes will take their final-term examinations this month. Pray that all of them will work hard to achieve the best results they deserve despite the challenges over the past 2 years due to the pandemic.

Our Ethnic Minorities (EM) Ambassador team will organize a canoe activity in Sai Kung for the EM children today. Pray that we strive to help them with self-exploration and unleash their potential; and they would feel loved and cherished in the community.

Today Christian Action Asia (USA) will host its Board meeting. May God bless all board members, donors and prayer warriors who support our ministry serving the unfortunate children in Qinghai. Pray that the Board will strategize initiatives which are centered on His plan as it has gone through some difficult moments. Amen!

Our Centre for Refugees was affected by the rainstorm last month and urgently needs some repairs. Pray that the renovation and repairs will be completed quickly, and we continue to offer our refugees and asylum seekers ‘a much-needed home away from home’.

Our Migrant Domestic Workers Programme service team will partner with a church to conduct an excursion for the shelter clients today. Pray that all participants will treasure the precious moments, especially during the pandemic.

Christian Action (CA) is preparing our upcoming Flag Day to be held on 27 July (Wednesday) and actively recruiting volunteers! Pray that our partnering schools, corporations, supporters, churches and others will be moved to join us to sell flags and raise funds.

Say thanks to all supporters and partner churches! Our Child Development Fund (CDF) Mentorship Programme On Tai Service Centre has successfully recruited over 100 mentors for a new programme. May God bless the mentee-and-mentor pairs to be closely linked by this impactful programme.

Our CDF Mentorship Programme conducted an online seminar yesterday for mentors recruited for our Phase 9-CDF Programme. Pray that they will help instill God’s values in our next generation so they would be impacted to live out a Godly purposeful life.

May God connect the hearts of the potential supporters or agencies to join us to bless those who are desperate.

Today we will host the graduation ceremony for the first intake of “Go Digital Career” initiative at our Digital Learning Centre. Pray that we thrive on enhancing these young persons to find suitable jobs in the internet era.

The lattice shop, designed for the welfare recipients to sell their DIY produces, at our Sheung Shui Centre has been hit by the recurrent pandemic threat. Pray for His continuous provision and wisdom that we strive to serve the disadvantaged in one of the poorest districts of Hong Kong.

Our enhancement training in the health care for the elderly under our China Programme will start physically this month, if God willing, the practicum will be held. Pray for protection against the pandemic as we strive to improve the job skills of local staff in this area.

This summer, some more student mentees under our CDF Mentorship Programme will embark on their Youth Work Experience Programme in the industries/trades including IT, advertising, medical/healthcare and others. Pray that they will broaden their life horizons through the programme and realize their God-given potential.

The results of the 2022 HK Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE) will be released today. May God abundantly bless all the students to grasp the essence of the Truth: Wisdom begins with the fear of God. Pray that the students are coached to choose wisely through our service when forging their future plan.

We will collaborate with an NGO to launch a recycling activity in Lam Tin. Pray that more people understand our consistent effort in preserving our Lord’s creation and imparting the importance of “3Rs” namely “Reuse, Recycle and Reduce” to the public.

The Hong Kong Book Fair 2022 will be held this week at the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre. With complimentary tickets, some of our clients under the care of our social services division, will join the event. Pray that the beneficiaries will feel God’s love and care through our ministry; and will also be uplifted by the power of reading.

We need to diversify our fundraising income as we have been badly affected by the pandemic outbreak. From now till mid-September, we will place donation boxes at the shops of a local fast-food chain. Pray for more corporate connections to sustain our ministries in Hong Kong and Qinghai. Amen!
