We have currently secured sufficient public funding for the afterschool learning and support service for this new academic year. Pray that we strive to lessen the grass-roots families’ burden of taking care of their children as they must work long hours to earn enough for subsistence.

Our Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) Programme service team will organize training against sexual harassment for the MDWs tomorrow. Pray that the attendees will be better equipped to get some useful legal and psychological information through the activity.

Today some children under our Ambassador Scheme for Ethnic Minority Youths (Urban) programme will participate in canoe training in Sai Kung. Pray that they feel loved and cherished through our effort, and that they will integrate into the community with ease.

May Christian Action (CA) be blessed to continuously function as His channel of love and care for the most marginalized; and more people will be called to give and serve with a big heart.

Last Sunday, some of the mentees under our 9th phase Child Development Fund Mentorship Programme visited one of the local thematic parks with their mentors and parents. Pray that their relationships are strengthened, and the mentees and their families are coached to seek God through this impactful programme.

Today our Training Services Division will conduct 3 guided tours in the following trades: floristry, adventure training and beauty/make up. Pray that the participants can widen their scope and understand how important it is to improve themselves in realizing their dreams for a better life.

This month, our Centre for Refugees will resume the vocational training programmes for clients after a short break. Pray that the programmes will be implemented smoothly as planned and the beneficiaries, one of the most marginalized groups, feel cherished and cared for as we try to follow Jesus Christ’s example.

Give thanks for a generous donation of hundreds of mooncakes for our clients to celebrate the upcoming mid-Autumn Festival. Pray that more philanthropists will join us to show love and care to the impoverished in our community.

Our Sheung Shui Service Centre has begun to recruit new primary school pupils from low-income families on welfare benefits in the vicinity. Pray that our continuous endeavor will help them break the generational poverty cycle. Amen!

Our Season of Love 2022 mooncake charity sale raised some funds that will sustain some of our programmes for underprivileged children in Hong Kong and Qinghai. Blessed be those who remember the needy in this festive season.

A new staff member recently joined our Centre for Refugees. Pray that he will adapt to the new working environment soon and work with the team to serve sojourners who are anxiously waiting in the city to be resettled elsewhere.

As our body is a temple for the Holy Spirit, we understand the importance of staying fit and healthy. During the Covid outbreak, we have to manage extra workload and stress from daily life and the effect of a recession. Pray that more people learn to take their worries and anxieties to our Lord as He cares for us.

Recently, two of our Employees Retraining Board (ERB) course instructors and two ERB trainees were interviewed on a local TV programme “Fly Again老友再起飛.” Pray that the public view our persistent commitment to empower trainees who dare to fly, transcending the barriers of age, race, religion, educational background, etc.

Please pray in unison for strength and spirit for our staff under the recurrent wave of Covid-19, especially for our Employment Support Services team as they have to deal with more referred cases due to unemployment and underemployment. Pray that they would be enriched through our ministry and get a stable and steady job soon. Amen!

Some students under the care of the Mong Kok Service Centre attained excellent DSE results and are now admitted to different universities. Pray that our consistent effort in collaborating with different partner churches/organizations will help disadvantaged families break the poverty cycle. Amen!

Give thanks to all generous donors for our “Goodie Packs distribution Programme”! We are collaborating with different partner enterprises this month to send out hundreds of gift packs consisting of food stuff and antigen rapid test kits to our clients at the Mong Kok Service Centre. Pray that we always cherish the faith in His provision and protection. Amen!

After a shocking child abuse incident late last year, our government launched a review on how to improve management and operation of the Children's Residential Homes. The first-phase report has just been rolled out making about 30 recommendations. Pray for collaboration in the city that will truly enhance the well-being of these needy children.
