Pray that our next generation would be enriched and choose to walk a Godly path through the interaction with our staff and the programme. Amen!

Some of the primary 6 pupils under our after-school care programme secured a discretionary secondary school place last week. Pray that all of them (including those yet to receive one through the centralized system) will feel uplifted to embark on a new chapter in their secondary school life soon.

Give thanks. The Mong Kok Service Centre received a generous donation from a partner church last month to support our emergency food programme for the disadvantaged.

Tomorrow is Ching Ming Festival (a.k.a. tomb sweeping day). Traditionally, the Chinese people would visit and sweep the tombs. Many of our clients from the Mong Kok Service Centre will return to the mainland to pay their respects to their ancestors after the border reopens. Please pray for their safe and smooth trip to the mainland and back.

To celebrate Easter, one of our partner churches will host a music concert this Friday in Ngau Tau Kok. Pray that more mentees, mentors and parents will come and enjoy the performances and learn the true meaning of Easter from the programme.

The online recruitment and donation webpage of our annual 3-legged charity walk was launched in mid-March to complement one of our major fund raising events. Please pray that it helps to reap an abundant harvest to support our ministry.

Praise God! One of our student mentees from our LPSC, who was diagnosed with epilepsy last year, has gradually regained her courage and positive attitude on becoming acquainted with our staff member, her mentor under the CDF Mentorship Programme, and our partner church. May God continue to shower her with His peace, mercy, and comfort.

Upon lifting of the rigid anti-epidemic regulations, our children’s homes co-managed with the local government have already resumed their normal activities with some careful hygiene practices. Pray for His continuous protection and provision in improving the overall well-being for the needy children on the Tibetan Plateau.

Our Sheung Shui Centre has organized several activities/workshops for welfare clients to learn skills on goal-setting, stress-relief, expressive art and visit one of our local universities this month. Pray that all of them will learn how to live a vibrant and economically independent life when walking with our team.

Some children under the care of our Ethnic Minorities (EM) Ambassador team will join the Chinese enhancement class twice a week. Pray that they will learn more about Chinese language and culture, so they integrate into the city more easily through our effort.

Please pray for the Christian Action Asia (USA)’s 2023 Spring Campaign to be successful and fruitful. May Godly hope and love dwell in every Christian heart; and all of them would be moved to sustain our Friends of Qinghai Children’s Programme.

Partnering with a Christian STEM education centre, 35 CDF mentees will join a remote-controlled car workshop tomorrow. Pray that the mentees can enjoy and find the interests of learning in the workshop.

Today our LPSC will organize an excursion at Kam Tin Mural Village for some of the participants of our 9th-phase Child Development Fund (CDF9) Mentorship Programme. Pray that the relationship of the mentor-and-mentee pair will be fostered; and the mentees will be coached to seek God through this impactful programme.

As our government has rolled out another round of the Consumption Voucher Scheme this year, we will launch “Feed the Hungry – Share Your Blessings 2023” to encourage more members of the public to support the deprived sector by buying food for them with the government’s consumption voucher. Pray that people will be motivated to realize the scripture “more blessed to give than to receive” in action. Acts 20:35

Our annual 3-Legged Charity Walk will be physically launched on 13th May at the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club after the epidemic! May God bless us with a successful event to raise funds for the underprivileged children in Hong Kong as well as the disabled and deprived children in Qinghai and raise awareness about our work. Amen!

We have been diversifying our fundraising income in the post-epidemic era. This month we have placed more than 120 donation boxes at the branches of a local fast-food chain. Pray that we reap a fruitful harvest to sustain our ministries in Hong Kong and Qinghai; and our goodwill will also be spread across the city. Amen!

Our Mong Kok Service Centre will soon move into a new place, which is the next flat to the current location. A generous donor sponsors this premises. Renovation will start by end of this month; pray for its smooth implementation. We strive to optimize its use to be the light of the city.

Our On Tai Service Centre will launch 3-session activities to foster deeper couple and family ties, sponsored by the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund this month. Pray that the participants will be enriched with better communication skills, feel loved and learn how to love each other.

Today marks the beginning of our HK Diploma of Secondary Education Examination 2023 (HKDSE).
A number of our student mentees under our CDF9 and post-CDF will sit for the exam. Pray that all of them will concentrate and study hard to achieve their best results.

Today is Eid al-Fitr (a.k.a. Festival of Breaking Fast), which is a Muslim festival. A fair will be held at our Mong Kok Service Centre for our Ethnic Minorities (EM) clients. Pray that we continue to promote social and cultural inclusion; and our EM youth will feel empowered to integrate into society more easily. Amen!

Two students, from the University of Hong Kong and Shue Yan University, will end their internship this month after serving at our Centre for Migrant Domestic Workers for 8 months. Pray that both the interns and CA will benefit from the programme as a whole; and they will choose to embrace our ministries in the future.

Our Board meeting will be held today. Pray for His direction, wisdom and providence for CA in post-epidemic times through our dedicated board members who support our ministry for the vulnerable and needy both in HK and Qinghai.

Today the Training Services Division will host a handicraft demonstration cum job recruitment titled as “SLASH婦女.斜動力量” i.e. SLASH Women; Slanting Force” at our headquarters, sponsored by the Women’s Commission. Pray that the beneficiaries will be fully empowered to join the job market and pursue their dreams through this initiative.

Today our Social Enterprise Department will co-organize an ESG event focusing on Environmental, Social or Governance with a private enterprise. Pray that we continue to partner with different corporations in green advocacy and environmental education to the public.

Supported by some staff volunteers from a primary school in Tseung Kwan O, our EM Ambassador team will run a workshop on STEM (an acronym for the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) for about 20 EM children to acquire more related knowledge. Pray that we will reach out to the EM community and help them to get integrated into mainstream schools and society more easily.
