The tax exemption campaign starts today. Pray that more corporates will support us to raise more funds for Christian Action’s (CA) charity work and at the same time enjoy tax exemption through their donations.

The death toll from the devastating earthquakes that recently struck Turkey and Syria has climbed beyond 50,000 - and left many more people homeless. It has taken a terrible toll on mental health for those caught up in the tragedy, both directly and indirectly. May God give mercy, protection and provision to all the victims and affected families.

This month, in partnership with Wu Yee Sun College, the Chinese University of Hong Kong will hold a Social inclusion programme for 15 ethnic minority (EM) youth. Pray that through these tailor-made initiatives, the youth may develop confidence and lead a bright life though they are the minority in this city.

Our Migrant Domestic Workers Centre (MDW) will co-organise with a partner church a health check-up and medical consultation for more than 50 clients at St. Andrew’s Church today. Pray that these ladies will feel loved and cared for.

After fighting COVID for more than 3 years, Hong Kong is gradually resuming its momentum and economy. Let’s continue to pray for His wisdom and protection for our government and the general public who will learn how to give up their burdens and worries to our Lord who cares for every one of us.

Starting from this month, about 20 Post-CDF students will begin a Leadership programme, aiming to discover their hidden talents and develop leadership skills. We pray that they will be enriched by the programme and better equipped to serve others.

Today is International Women’s Day. May God uplift the refugee women and mothers who are estranged from their families and give them resilience, faith and hope to withstand all the challenges and destitution in HK. Please uphold these women in your prayers.

This morning, our Sheung Shui Service Centre will hold a parental talk known as “100分父母講座” (a.k.a. Parents score 100-marks) with a view to enhancing mutual understanding between parents and children. Pray that we will instil the values of “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverb 22:6

Our Employment Support Services programme (Project 8) has been undergoing the Social Welfare Department’s (SWD) case checking and case management yesterday and today. We pray for a smooth operation and communication between our staff and SWD’s.

The Long Ping Service Centre organized youth programs with Yan Fook Yuen Long Church last Saturday and today. Many CDF youth participants enjoyed the activities and will join other church programs. Pray that more young people are coached to seek God; and are willing to learn His Way and His Word.

Please pray for our staff, board members, their families and supporters in HK and Qinghai, that together we will help improve the well-being of the needy children under our China Programme. Amen!

Our Season of Love Charity Drive (SOL), Hand Crafted Cookies, has just finished and raised some funds to sustain our programmes for underprivileged children in Hong Kong and Qinghai. May God bless those who are merciful to others and think of the needs of the poor!

Our China Programme team has recruited a very experienced consultant to enhance our services in Qinghai and our way ahead. Pray that this new consultant will be dedicated and competent to serve in this ministry.

The adverse situation under the pandemic has posed a hard time for our direct dialogue team tasked with street-level fund raising. May God shower His blessings as we try our best to solicit aid from different parties. Pray that more people from the public will be inspired to help the unfortunate and needy both near and far.

Echoing the motive, Learning to be a responsible global citizen, 34 student mentees will visit the School of Everyday life (生活書院) in Tuen Mun today. Pray that all participants enjoy the nature walk, and choose to live a well-balanced eco-life.

We submitted our revised Community Investment and Inclusion Fund proposal last month. Pray for the success of the funding application; and our steadfast faith in His provision and guidance for our EM ministry. Amen!

The HK Christian Council, in which Mrs. Cheung-Ang Siew Mei, JP, our Executive Director serves as a member on its Executive Committee, will hold its regular bi-monthly meeting this afternoon. Pray that all churches from different denominations in HK and Christian organizations would be unified as one Body to withstand future challenges.

To cope with the fast-moving trend in the digital world, we are exploring various payment gateways for diverse donation means. Please pray for our successful execution of paydollar + global payment recurring donation platform as soon as possible so that more people can financially support us in a fast and easy way.

This March, our Mong Kok Service Centre is cooperating with partner schools to conduct several outings for some of the children clients over the weekends. Pray that we are able to work together with different private enterprises to serve the marginalized sector in the community. Amen!

This afternoon, our EM team will conduct an excursion to the Wetland Park, sponsored by NWS Holdings Ltd. for a group of 12 EM youth. Pray that it will help with their self-exploration to unleash their potential; and facilitate them to get integrated into the community more easily.

This month, our Social Enterprise Department has again launched several Green Collection Charity Drives in different housing estates in Kowloon. Pray that public awareness will be significantly aroused to support our ministry; and people will understand this is also an indirect means to fulfil charity work.

The Training Services Division got the Employees Retraining Board’s (ERB) Annual Tendering 2023-24 in late February. Pray for His insight and guidance when we are strategizing more initiatives to empower job seekers and trainees seeking career advancement.

Please pray for our Centre for Refugees for the smooth implementation of regular programmes such as home visits; and the seamless transition of our data base compilation, so that we will render better aid for the sojourners who are anxiously waiting in the city to be resettled elsewhere.

Thank God! This academic year, a total of 24 scholarships under our CASE programme (Christian Action Scholarship for Excellence) were granted. We pray that these students can feel loved and cared for through us as a Christian organization. Pray that more donors will join us to sustain this programme to become a long-term project supporting students from grassroots families.

This March, our Sheung Shui Centre has been organizing a series of activities stressing on an initial understanding and analysis of dreams. Pray that the participants of this sub-group will re-gain confidence to explore their potential, and live a more colourful and vibrant life.

Pray that more hearts in the States would be touched and called to support us through Christian Action Asia (USA) and embrace our Friends of Qinghai Children’s Programme via donations or prayers. Amen!
